Booking Terms & Conditions

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

If a package booking is cancelled more than 7 days prior to the date that the first product or service is to be provided, the price paid will be refunded in full less any fees charged by Operators and a $25.00 cancellation fee. If a package booking is cancelled within 7 days of the date that the first product or service is to be provided, all monies paid will be forfeited. If a day tour is cancelled more than 48 hours before the tour is to be provided, the price paid will be refunded in full less any Operator imposed cancellation fees. If a day tour is cancelled within 48 hours before the tour is to be provided, the total price paid will be forfeited.

FAIL TO LOAD

If you are not waiting at the pickup point for the coach service to collect you at the date and time specified in your booking, then you will be listed as having “failed to load”.

This incurrs a 100% cancellation fee unless it is one of the tours listed below, for which a separated resheduling fee applies. Prices are shown below as per person :

  • $50 Tully River Rafting and Xtreme Tully Rafting
  • $25 Barron River Rafting
  • $50 Tablelands Ballooning
  • $10 Fitzroy Island Transfers Only
  • $10 Fitzroy Island Transfers with Lunch
  • $15 Fitzroy Half Day Sea Kayaking
  • $15 Fitzroy Island Activity Pass 1 with Lunch
  • $15 Fitzroy Island Activity Pass 2 with Lunch

These resheduling charges are applied to cover items such as staffing, levies, meals (where applicable) and administration charges.

CONDITIONS OF SUPPLY

Products featured in Raging Thunder brochures and programs are supplied subject to our terms & conditions of trade set out below. In addition products delivered by third parties are subject to the terms and conditions of supply of those parties. Prior to purchasing any product you should ensure that you have read & understood our terms & conditions and confirmed any other applicable terms and conditions with your booking agent as in making your purchase you are entering into a contract which includes these terms & conditions.

PRICING

Prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST where applicable. Prices do not include transport between your home port and destination and return, items of a personal nature (eg telephone calls, alcoholic beverages, gratuities), meals and the like, unless specifically stated. Some tours attract a pay on board levy.

Prices displayed are for cash payments. Raging Thunder reserves the right to levy a credit card or charge card service fee as a percentage of the dollar amount paid, being 2% for Visa / Mastercard and 4% for JCB / Diners / American Express (this fee may be subject to change without notice).

RESPONSIBILITY

In producing marketing and promotional material, Raging Thunder has used information supplied by third parties and in supplying that information to you Raging Thunder is acting as the agent of such parties. Irrespective of any measures taken to ensure the accuracy of such information at the time of publication of the information, Raging Thunder disclaims and will be exempt from liability in respect of anything misleading, false, incomplete, inaccurate, or erroneous and all resulting direct or consequential loss, expense, damage, disappointment, inconvenience, delay, shock, illness, injury or death, however caused.

Some products and services featured in Raging Thunder brochures and marketing material are supplied or operated by third party suppliers (“Operators”) not Raging Thunder. Raging Thunder does not control the manner in which such products are supplied by Operators, nor does Raging Thunder determine the terms and conditions of supply of such products. Raging Thunder disclaims and will be exempt from any liability for anything to do with the supply of such products. This includes without limitation liability for any loss or damage, personal injury, death, delay, disappointment, economic loss or expense or consequential loss (whether in tort, in contract, under statute or otherwise), for any default, failure, negligence or error on the part of Raging Thunder or any Operator or arising from the withdrawal from sale, cancellation, failure to provide, variation, or substitution of any product or delays in respect of the delivery of any product or a change of Operator. If despite these provisions, it is found that Raging Thunder is liable to pay compensation then such liability is limited to the cost of providing the service in respect of which the liability arises again.

MEDICAL QUESTIONNAIRE, RELEASE & ASSUMPTION OF RISK & INDEMNITY FORMS

Raging Thunder requires as a condition of participation in adventure activities supplied by us, that you complete a Medical Questionnaire & Deed of Release, Assumption of Risk & Indemnity. This document is intended to form a legally binding contract that prevents you from suing Raging Thunder in the event of certain events occurring including loss, injury, damage or death. The document also requires disclosure of certain medical conditions in order to determine participant suitability for some activities. The document should be read carefully before making your booking. The full terms & conditions of these documents are available on our website at www.ragingthunder.com.au, from our reservations centre or your agent.

Maps and photographs are included for general information purposes only.

FITNESS & HEALTH

While you do not need to have prior experience to partake in any of the activities and tours marketed or provided by Raging Thunder, good health and a positive attitude are essential. Further, some medical or physical conditions (including pregnancy) may preclude participation in some activities. To avoid disappointment you should raise any concerns in this regard prior to booking.

ACCOMMODATION

Should the advertised accommodation not be available for whatever reason, Raging Thunder reserves the right to place our clients in alternate accommodation of a similar or upgraded standard.

RAGING THUNDER

In these terms and conditions a reference to Raging Thunder includes a reference to Raging Thunder Pty Ltd ACN 010 509 949 and where applicable its subsidiary and related companies, officers and employees.
