Common QuestionsWhat is the difference between the standard Tully Rafting trip and Xtreme? The strictly limited numbers allow our guides to customise this trip on a daily basis, based on the abilities of the rafters and what level of adventure they'd like to experience. There are extra challenges to try such as jumping from the cliffs which line the side of the river into the deep pools below, swimming through rapids wearing your life jacket and raft surfing - where recirculating water from a rapid holds the raft in place. Plus running ahead of the main trip, the Xtreme trip is usually the first to travel the river each day giving you a much better chance to see wildlife. What should I wear rafting? You will need to wear secure footwear which will not come off your foot while rafting such as running shoes or sandals with an ankle strap. If you don't have suitable footwear (or don't want yours to get wet) we have sandals for hire at the Tully Cafe which we stop at before we go rafting. Will it be cold? What can I bring aboard the raft? How safe is White Water Rafting? What safety gear will I wear? What medical conditions will prevent me from rafting? Where is the Tully River? Where can i go for more information? |
